White graduates made up almost 80% of all graduates through the early 1990s; these numbers have declined to under 70% by 1998 and currently remain slightly more than 60%.

Limitations We encountered several unforeseen limitations. First, while researchers were committed to mixed methodology in design, implementation and analysis, it is difficult to balance qualitative and quantitative epistemologies and methods. We have striven to use data derived from both methods simultaneously to strengthen findings, but it has proved challenging to align multi-disciplinary understandings of culture and climate.
